A b& was formed by President pierce and Kid Congo Powers and initially known as Creeping Ritual. It went across many lineup changes prior to fixate "The Gun Club," the title suggested by Circle Jerks singer Keith Morris.

Child Congo left prior to a 1st album to join The Cramps. More notability members include bassist Rob Ritter & drummer Terry Graham, world health organization got each antecedently been in The Bags. Rob left fallowing a debut album to form 45 Grave, and changed his title to Rob Graves. Late, Patricia Morrison, then called Patrick cooper Bag, one of a founders of The Bags, joined to play bass in deuce LPs Danse Kalinda Boom & Las Vegas Story prior to allowing to join The Sisters of Mercy and then The Damned.

Their number 1 album, 1981's Fire of Love, is regarded as a classic by numbers of rock critics. Around 1992, President pierce returned to his musical roots by recording an album of mostly pre-war blues songs by using his long period collaborator, a British blues Guitarist Cypress Grove.

Franklwithin pierce continued leading various incarnations of the Gun Club higher until his demise in 1996.

Romi Mori & Nick Sandersin went on to obtained a band Freeheat, with ex-members of Jesus and Mary Chain Jim Reid and Ben Lurie.

It helped influence a cowpunk scene that developed in their wake & the wide kind of elastic ranging from either Social Distortion in the 1980s to The White Stripes today.
